#ZFWSeries III: Africa Fashion Weeks return home #Zimbabwe – @TatRobin

African Fashion has taken the world by storm as the African Diaspora makes a mark in cities in the North, London, New York with Paris having “Black Fashion Week” last year as well, only a matter of time when African fashion becomes a leading trend setter.

What’s amazing for my country, ZIMBABWE is that not only does it have a lot of influential fashion personalities in the diaspora, Nyasha Matonhodze (Model feat. on VOGUE/Louis Vuitton campaign etc), Natasha Ndlovu (Model/Blogger), Farai Simoyi (NYC fashion designer), Shingai Shoniwa (AFWL celebrity ambassador) to name a few.  But also Zimbabweans in ZIMBABWE are making their mark in fashion as well, no better platform than a local fashion show in Harare.

29-31st August, marks beginning of fashion season in Zimbabwe with ZIMBABWE FASHION WEEK, Priscilla Chigariro-Gessen’s brain child. Last year I won me an award for blogging for them, giving me momentum to study Media Management. The pictures below of what African designers can do should inspire you to see this year’s “FASHION THROUGH THE AGES” theme by ZFW
